HB 109: PUBLIC ASSISTANCE – Adds to existing law to provide that the director of the Department of Health and Welfare shall seek a waiver to exclude candy and soda from supplemental nutrition assistance program benefits.
Requires Idaho Department of Health and Welfare director to seek federal waiver excluding candy and soda from SNAP benefits, with annual requests until granted. Effective July 1, 2025.
