HB 111: PUBLIC ASSISTANCE LAW – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding photographic identification on electronic benefit transfer cards.
Requires Idaho Department of Health & Welfare to add photographic identification to new EBT cards for SNAP recipients by January 1, 2026, and replace existing cards within 18 months. Exempts certain households (elderly, disabled, etc.). Triggers investigation for excessive card replacements. Effective July 1, 2025.
