HB 125: RIOTS – Amends existing law to provide a penalty for a riot that results in physical injury to a person.
Amends Idaho Code §18-6402 to make riots resulting in physical injury to any person a felony, punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or $10,000 fine. Retains existing felony triggers for riots in penal facilities or with property damage over $500. Misdemeanor otherwise. Emergency clause for July 1, 2025 effective date.
