HB 126: CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS – Amends existing law to revise a provision regarding records shielded from disclosure and to provide for the collection of fees, fines, and restitution owed to the court.
Amends Section 67-3004, Idaho Code, to revise provisions for shielding certain misdemeanor and felony drug possession records from public disclosure. Removes requirement that all fines/fees be paid before petitioning for shielding, but allows courts to disclose records as needed for collection of outstanding fees, fines, and restitution owed to the court. Effective July 1, 2025.
