HB 145: BROADBAND – Amends existing law to revise provisions about the dig once policy and rights-of-way for broadband.
Amends Idaho Code sections 40-516, 40-517, 40-518, and 40-520 to revise the 'Dig Once Policy' for broadband infrastructure installation in highway rights-of-way. Expands policy to single county-wide highway districts, updates definitions, enhances notification processes, and standardizes rules for broadband providers. Declares emergency effective July 1, 2025.
