HB 159: CHILD PROTECTIVE ACT – Amends existing law to establish provisions regarding an order to prevent removal.
Amends Idaho's Child Protective Act to replace ineffective protective order provisions with a new 'order to prevent removal' process. Allows courts to exclude alleged abusers from the home while keeping safe children with non-offending parents, guardians, or custodians. Effective July 1, 2025.
