HB 171: INTERMODAL COMMERCE AUTHORITY – Amends and adds to existing law to revise provisions regarding county-based or city-based intermodal commerce authority and to establish provisions regarding publication of proceedings and a contest period.
Amends Idaho Code sections 70-2201 and 70-2206 to expand powers of county- and city-based intermodal commerce authorities to include utility services facilities (excluding electrical energy and broadband), adds tax exemptions for authority-held property, and creates new section 70-2214 requiring publication of revenue bond proceedings with a 30-day contest period. Effective July 1, 2025.
