HB 180: BROADBAND INFRASTRUCTURE – Amends, repeals, and adds to existing law to provide for the timing of the permitting process relating to broadband infrastructure.
Establishes strict timelines for cities, counties, and highway districts to approve/deny broadband and telecommunications siting applications (60-150 days). Applications deemed approved if no timely decision. Regulates pole attachment disputes via Idaho Public Utilities Commission. Effective July 1, 2025.
