HB 190: PROTECTING THE PRIVACY OF WOMEN – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding safety and privacy in certain covered entities and to provide for remedies.
Adds new Chapter 98 to Title 67, Idaho Code, requiring covered entities (correctional facilities, domestic violence shelters, juvenile centers, state educational institutions) to designate multi-occupancy restrooms, changing rooms, and sleeping quarters for exclusive use by females or males based on biological sex. Provides private causes of action for violations and reasonable accommodations with limitations.
