HB 195: FISH AND GAME – Amends existing law to provide for notification of a proposed transplant or relocation of wildlife and approval from a board of county commissioners if a hearing on the same is requested and to require testing of certain animals.
Amends Idaho Code §36-106 to require notification to county commissioners and affected landowners before wildlife transplants/relocations (excluding predatory wildlife). County commissioners can approve, modify, or reject proposals after hearings if requested. Requires testing of imported deer, elk, antelope, moose, bighorn sheep, bison, or wolves for diseases transmissible to livestock.
