HB 219: INSURANCE – Adds to existing law to establish cost-sharing requirements for health benefit plans.
Requires health insurers to count third-party payments toward enrollee cost-sharing requirements (copays, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums) for health benefit plans renewed on or after January 1, 2026. Exempts prescription drugs with available generic equivalents. Effective July 1, 2025.
