HB 228: OPEN MEETINGS LAW – Amends existing law to provide that all open public meetings shall allow for public comment, to provide certain requirements, and to provide an exception.
Amends Idaho's Open Meetings Law to require all open public meetings to allow public comment in person or via telephone, video conferencing, or internet. Specifies notice requirements, disruption protocols, no pre-submission of comments, timed comment periods, with exception for special meetings. Applies to legislative committees. Effective July 1, 2025.
