HB 230: INDECENT SEXUAL EXHIBITIONS AND CIVIL ACTIONS – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding a civil action following an indecent sexual exhibition.
Creates civil liability for hosts, organizers, and performers of indecent sexual exhibitions who fail to restrict minors' access when minors are likely present. Provides $5,000 statutory damages per violation plus actual damages and attorney fees. Includes legislative findings justifying regulation as time/place/manner restriction. Passed House 54-11; transmitted to Senate.
