Idaho Capitol Watch
HB 268: STATE EMPLOYEES – Amends existing law to provide that executive employees of the state of Idaho shall not be classified employees.
Amends Idaho Code sections 67-5303 and 67-5302 to classify executive employees (bureau chief level and above with management duties) as nonclassified rather than classified state employees. Declares emergency effective July 1, 2025.
