HB 271: ADVERTISING ILLEGAL DRUGS – Amends and adds to existing law to prohibit the advertising of illegal drugs and to provide for the apportionment of certain fines.
Prohibits commercial advertising in Idaho for marijuana, narcotics, or other psychoactive substances illegal under Idaho law and the jurisdiction where offered. Creates new misdemeanor offense with $500 daily fine. Directs 90% of fines to county sheriffs, 10% to district courts. Declares emergency clause. Signed into law April 1, 2025.
