HB 272: SECOND AMENDMENT FINANCIAL PRIVACY ACT – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding the Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act.

Amends Idaho Code §18-3326A to strengthen the Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act by prohibiting financial institutions and payment networks from assigning firearms codes to Idaho retailers, discriminating against firearms merchants, and disclosing related financial records. Provides AG enforcement with civil penalties up to $10,000 per violation. Effective July 1, 2025.
