HB 278: ELECTIONS – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding certain election deadlines and the filling of certain vacancies.
Standardizes election administration deadlines across Idaho's political subdivisions including candidate filing periods, voter registration cutoff, write-in declarations, early voting duration, and canvassing timelines. Shortens primary filing for major offices to one week. Declares emergency effective July 1, 2025.
