HB 289: NURSES – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding certified registered nurse anesthetists.
Establishes Idaho Code §54-1421 defining certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), authorizing full spectrum anesthesia care, requiring CRNA liability insurance responsibility, and providing physicians immunity from liability for independent CRNA anesthesia services. Effective July 1, 2025.
