HB 300: BROADBAND – Amends existing law to revise provisions about the dig once policy and rights-of-way for broadband.
Amends Idaho Code sections 40-516, 40-517, 40-518, and 40-520 to expand the 'Dig Once Policy' to single county-wide highway districts, revise definitions, enhance notification processes for broadband installation during highway projects, and clarify rights-of-way access. Declares emergency effective July 1, 2025.
