HB 303: PRODUCT LIABILITY – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding satisfaction of a warning to consumers or the public on products used in growing food or fiber.
Adds new Idaho Code Section 6-1411 establishing that U.S. manufacturers/sellers of products used in growing food or fiber satisfy common law warning duties if government-required warnings (based on scientific evaluation) are provided. Presumption rebuttable only by peer-reviewed scientific evidence showing warnings lack support. No General Fund fiscal impact. Emergency clause effective July 1, 2025.
