HB 31: PUBLIC ASSISTANCE – Amends existing law to provide that a third party that requires prior authorization for items or services provided to a recipient of medical assistance shall accept authorization from the state.
Amends Section 56-209b, Idaho Code, to require third parties requiring prior authorization for Medicaid recipients to accept state Medicaid authorizations. Ensures Medicaid as payer of last resort per federal law. Declares emergency effective July 1, 2025.
