HB 312: DAYCARE – Amends and adds to existing law to revise provisions regarding the licensing of daycare facilities.
Codifies 19 sections of IDAPA 16.06.03 daycare licensing rules into statute, revises definitions, licensing procedures, fees, safety standards, child:staff ratios, training requirements, and license denial/revocation criteria. Prohibits corporal punishment and certain disciplinary methods. Nullifies specified administrative rules effective July 1, 2025.
