HB 349: EDUCATION – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding inappropriate online behavior by students and to prescribe a process for student discipline by the school district or public charter school.
Adds new Idaho Code section 33-512E to define inappropriate online behavior by students toward school employees or others (harassment, threats, bullying via internet/social media) and mandates school district/charter school investigation, parental notification, and disciplinary measures including suspension/expulsion. Effective July 1, 2025.
