HB 350: EDUCATION – Adds to existing law to provide that funds appropriated to public schools shall be used for the purposes identified in statute or in an appropriation.
Adds new Idaho Code Section 33-1035 requiring school districts and public charter schools to use state-appropriated funds only for statutorily specified purposes. Misused funds must be reimbursed to the state general fund, with deductions from future payments if unreimbursed. Effective July 1, 2025, via emergency clause.
