HB 405: EDUCATION – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding the requirement for safe public school facilities.
Amends Idaho Code 33-1613 to strengthen safe public school facilities requirements, mandating annual inspections for safety codes, radon, mold, and lead testing, abatement plans, parent reporting, fines up to $5,000 for violations, and whistleblower protections. Effective July 1, 2025.
