HB 436: URBAN RENEWAL – Amends and adds to existing law to provide for the dissolution of urban renewal agencies and termination of urban renewal plans and to allow fire protection districts and ambulance service districts to opt out of certain urban renewal financing provisions.
Amends urban renewal laws to provide for dissolution of agencies, termination of plans/revenue allocation areas, allows fire/ambulance districts to opt out of TIF districts without outstanding debt, and permits extensions for single-owner manufacturing projects. Enacted retroactively to 1/1/2025.
