HB 467: STATE PENITENTIARY – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding rehabilitation achievements and credits toward a reduction of sentence.
Establishes rehabilitation achievement credits for Idaho state prisoners (excluding those convicted of crimes against children, certain battery offenses, or murder) to reduce indeterminate sentence portions through prosocial behavior, program participation, education, and employment. Credits up to 50 days/month total, with forfeiture for misconduct. Effective July 1, 2025.
