HB 474: IMMIGRATION STATUS AND NATIONALITY OF ARRESTED INDIVIDUALS – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding the immigration status and nationality of arrested individuals.
Requires Idaho law enforcement agencies to verify and record immigration status and nationality of all arrested individuals, publish biannual reports on foreign nationals' arrests and crimes starting October 1, 2025, with potential state funding withholding for noncompliance. Effective July 1, 2025.
