HR 2: ADMITTANCE TO THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE – Proposes an amendment to House Rule 70 to add certain restrictions regarding admittance to the floor of the House.
House Resolution 2 proposes amending Rule 70 of the House Rules to restrict floor access during sessions. Only legislators and legislative employees may remain on the floor during business. Elected officials, former legislators, and media must wear badges; former legislators and officials require legislator sponsorship and must leave before business unless authorized by the Speaker. Other guests need Speaker and Sergeant at Arms clearance.
