Idaho Capitol Watch
SB 1006: CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS – Amends existing law to provide for certain construction contracts to be subject to Idaho law and that such contracts shall not require dispute resolution in another jurisdiction.
Amends Idaho Code §29-115 to require all construction contracts for private work in Idaho to be governed by Idaho law and prohibit requirements for dispute resolution outside Idaho. Maintains existing retention payment rules (max 5%) and declares emergency effective July 1, 2025.
