SB 1008: FIREARMS, EXPLOSIVES, AND OTHER DEADLY WEAPONS – Repeals and adds to existing law to prohibit limitations regarding concealed weapons at public colleges and universities.
Repeals existing Idaho Code §18-3309 allowing public college boards to regulate firearms and replaces it with new §18-3309 prohibiting regulation of concealed weapons carried lawfully on public college and university campuses. Effective July 1, 2025.
