SB 1026: URBAN AGRICULTURE – Amends and adds to existing law to revise a definition and permit residential chicken ownership.
Permits ownership of up to 4 chickens per 0.2 acres on single-family residential properties, overriding deed restrictions but allowing HOAs reasonable rules including rooster bans. Revises urban farming definition and takes effect July 1, 2025.
