SB 1027: TRANSPARENCY IN FINANCIAL SERVICES – Adds to existing law to provide for transparency in financial services.
Prohibits large financial institutions (assets >$100B or payment processors >$100B transactions) from discriminating against customers using social credit scores based on protected speech, religion, ESG refusals, fossil fuels, firearms/knives, or abortion/gender services. Requires explanation for service denials. Enforced via consumer protection laws. Effective 7/1/2025.
