SB 1028: JUDICIAL DISTRICTS – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding the number of judges in the First Judicial District.
Amends Section 1-802, Idaho Code, to increase First Judicial District judges from 7 to 8, adding one resident chamber in Kootenai County (from 4 to 5). District covers Boundary, Bonner, Kootenai, Shoshone, Benewah counties. Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2025. Signed into law as Chapter 16.
