SB 1041: WATER – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding distributing laterals, ditches, or other conduits.
Amends Idaho Code § 42-909 to expand authority for appointing managers of distributing laterals, ditches, or conduits to include canal companies and other irrigation entities, making such appointments optional. Declares an emergency with effective date of July 1, 2025. Signed into law as Chapter 38.
