SB 1050: ADOPTION – Amends existing law to provide that certain legal advice and counseling services be provided to birth parents and to provide for notification of such services.
Amends Section 18-1511, Idaho Code, to require prospective adoptive parents to provide birth parents with notice of their right to free legal advice and counseling services, mandates minimum counseling sessions, and declares an emergency effective date of July 1, 2025.
