SB 1052: DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND WELFARE – Amends existing law to establish provisions regarding bureau chiefs.
Amends Idaho Code §56-1002 to require new bureau chiefs in the Department of Health and Welfare to be appointed by the director with Board concurrence, enhancing accountability for managing large programs with taxpayer funds. Passed unanimously and signed by Governor (Chapter 207), effective July 1, 2025.
