SB 1053: FENCES – Amends existing law to provide for landowner responsibility for erecting and maintaining fences adjoining federal lands.
Amends Idaho Code 35-104 to clarify that private landowners bordering federal lands are solely responsible for erecting and maintaining fences to prevent livestock entry. Makes technical correction from 'uninclosed' to 'unenclosed'. Declares emergency clause. Passed Senate unanimously (35-0).
