SB 1058: IDAHO SAFE HAVEN ACT – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding the placement of an abandoned child.
Amends Idaho Safe Haven Act to define 'Indian child,' allow voluntary disclosure of tribal membership, require Health & Welfare to maintain adoption agency list and transfer custody within 24 hours, and ensure ICWA compliance for potential Indian children. Effective July 1, 2025.
