SB 1113: ADOPTION – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding postadoption contact agreements.
Adds new Section 16-2013A to Idaho Code to establish enforceable postadoption contact agreements between adoptive parents, birth parents, and adopted children. Requires court approval, attorney consultation, and prioritizes child's best interest. Effective July 1, 2025.
