Idaho Capitol Watch
SB 1198: EDUCATION – Adds to existing law to establish provisions to ensure freedom of inquiry in higher education.
Prohibits Idaho public higher education institutions from maintaining DEI offices, officers, trainings, bias reporting systems, and DEI-related required courses. Provides AG enforcement, private causes of action, and reallocates DEI funds to merit scholarships. Effective July 1, 2025.
