HB 537: OPEN MEETINGS LAW – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding requirements for open public meetings.
Amends Idaho Code §74-203 to require all open public meetings of governing bodies to allow public comment in person or remotely via telephone, video conferencing, or internet. Specifies notice requirements, disruption handling, prohibits pre-submission of comments, ensures timed comment periods, and exempts special meetings. Effective July 1, 2026.
