HB 577: TRANSPORTATION – Amends existing law to provide that license plates do not automatically expire after 10 years and may continue to be used while still legible.
Amends Idaho Code sections 49-443 and 49-443B to eliminate the 10-year expiration requirement for license plates, allowing continued use as long as plates remain readable and legible. Makes technical corrections and declares an emergency effective date of July 1, 2026.
