HB 616: ARCHITECTS – Amends existing law to provide for certified interior designers to be able to sign and seal certain technical submissions and to make such submissions to state or local governmental entities.
Amends Section 54-306, Idaho Code, to add an exemption allowing certified interior designers to sign, seal, and submit technical submissions for nonstructural, nonseismic interior projects to government entities for permits. Establishes voluntary certification by the Board of Architects and Landscape Architects. Effective July 1, 2026.
