HB 621: CONCEALED WEAPONS – Amends existing law to revise a provision regarding prohibited conduct.
This bill amends Idaho Code Section 18-3302C to clarify that the prohibition on carrying concealed weapons in a courthouse applies only to defined courtroom portions when court facilities share space with county or city offices. It adds an explicit definition of those portions, maintains exceptions for law enforcement and authorized persons, and sets an effective date of July 1, 2027. The measure passed the House 56-11 and has been transmitted to the Senate.
