HB 648: INSURANCE – Adds to existing law to establish provisions regarding coverage of anticancer medications under health benefit plans.
Requires health benefit plans to provide same cost-sharing (copay, coinsurance, deductible) for FDA-approved orally administered anticancer medications as for injected/IV anticancer medications, effective for plans issued/renewed on/after Jan 1, 2027. Emergency clause effective July 1, 2026.
