HB 657: EDUCATION – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding public charter school admissions.
Amends Section 33-5206, Idaho Code, to revise public charter school admission priorities when capacity is insufficient. Adds preferences for foster children placed with enrolled siblings (2nd priority) and children of active duty military/guard/reserve families (3rd priority), shifting other preferences down. Effective July 1, 2026.
