HB 664: MOTOR VEHICLES – Amends existing law to provide that speed limits for vehicles with five or more axles operating at a gross weight of more than 26,000 pounds shall be the same as for other vehicles.
Amends Idaho Code §49-654 to equalize speed limits for heavy trucks (5+ axles, >26,000 lbs) with other vehicles on all roads, removing prior lower limits. Declares emergency effective July 1, 2026.
