HB 685: CRIMES AND PUNISHMENT – Adds to existing law to prohibit the use of a mask or disguise during a criminal offense and to provide for a sentencing enhancement.
Prohibits wearing masks or disguises during felony crimes or specified misdemeanors (assault, battery, indecent exposure, child exploitation, sexual battery), with sentencing enhancement of up to $2,500 fine and/or 1 year imprisonment. Exempts law enforcement. Effective July 1, 2026.
