HB 689: ADMINISTRATIVE SUBPOENAS – Amends existing law to revise a provision regarding an administrative subpoena.

Amends Idaho Code §19-3004A to expand administrative subpoenas for electronic service providers to include investigations of §18-1507C (visual representations of child sexual abuse, including AI-generated). Allows prosecutors/AG to obtain subscriber identification data for specified sex crimes. No fiscal impact. Emergency clause for July 1, 2026 effective date.
